We are offering and intense immersion of your life for over nine months in the Madison WI, Boiler Room hub. This Madison-based adventure is led by Joseph and Angela Steinke, who are  deeply rooted in Madison and have been teaching, mentoring and equipping young adults for twenty years. While in Madison, Transit participants will be living and learning together while serving in the local community...and let's not forget having some fun!

We are offering and intense immersion of your life for over nine months in the Madison WI, 24-7 Boiler Room hub. This experience calls for the holistic, 360-degree, multi dimensional, open-minded, wild-eyed, passionate person who is ready to live, learn and love God and others, with all of their hearts, minds and strength. This experience will include three separate pilgrimages to the Kansas City Boiler Room Community (Kansas City, MO), the Stockbridge Boiler Room Community (Grand Rapids, MI) and the Source Boiler Room Community (Minneapolis, MN) during the course of the nine months. There will also be opportunities to be apart of a cross cultural missions trip in the summer months.

About Madison

Madison is an over grown town, home to a world class university, the state capital, and a beautiful lakeside setting.  It is also known as Mad City, a reputation worn with pride by the local revolutionaries and downtown party dogs. A vibrant young adult community has emerged in Madison called the Greenhouse Community. Joe and Angie Steinke, the pioneer mom and dad of this community, have loved, encouraged and equipped young adults in Madison for over 12 years. They have recently planted a church in the heart of East Madison called Damascus Road Church, serves as a down to earth entry place for lost and broken people in Mad City. 

A happy family approach to relationships creates a unique intergenerational experience that will center the Transit community within the safety and blessing of participating elders acting as life coaches, teachers, and upward mentors. The local Greenhouse Community will be the context for experiential learning, growing in the practices of prayer, pilgrimage, creativity, mission, justice, and hospitality.
